LEGISLATIVE PROVISIONS REGARDING THE USE OF DRONES
This equipment is assimilated to civil aircraft, and its use in the national airspace is conditioned by compliance with specific regulations (Aviation Code, art. 3.7 and 3.8, Section II “Terms and definitions”, Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems RPAS or “drone”).
According to the law, this flight equipment must be identified with the Romanian Civil Aeronautical Authority (AACR). Flying the drone without identification at AACR entails criminal liability of its operator. Unauthorized flight (without airspace segregation or COAP notification, as applicable) is punishable by a fine.
